Congratulations goes out to Mission Nighthawk with Nazwes Chaiwind as the CEO. I'm happy to announce them as winners they ran a great game. Yesterday Animal representing the Deep south announced that he conceded to Nighthawks after Nighthawks had eliminated team Frogland and #SD# Talon Karrde from team FEN. Today Talon Karrde notified me that he also conceded to team Mission Nighthawk.
1st place : Team Mission Nighthawks
2nd place : Team Rebel Alliance (The Deep South)
3rd place : Team FEN
And an honorable 4th place Team Frogland.
It has been an great honor to host this game with this many great players. We started out with 90 players on the enrollment list. 87 showed up at start and after 206 days of playing 8 players are left in the game. Mission Nighthawks STILL with a full 6 member team which is a feat in itself and showing that they are a team to respect.
As winners of BOTE 2000 Mission Nighthawks get to host or decided whom to host BOTE 2001. Each team member is eligible to receive a free copy of both SWATH and ATTAC.
January 29, 2001 - Today's news update is dedicated to the hardest working and most dedicated team in BOTE 2000
Tonight they tracked down the remaining of team Frogland,
killed Prestone and put his final blowup count
at 29 deaths. One
word if you are going to cheat death and elimination be sure it's not with
Nighthawks in the game. When they took care of
Prestone they also eliminate Jackal
made his final blowup count 10. But to get to
Prestone and Jackal,
White Knight, Nazwes Chaiwind
and Cyber Hawk had to go through 6
level 6 H's but
got a nice bonus of 500Million credits.
After they taken care of Frogland it was time
for team FEN, they located Talon
Karrde and invaded a level 6 L,
with 30k shields, 500k
figs. Talon Karrde is now at 5
deaths. My word of advise to Talon Karrde and
Animal (who are the ONLY NONE Nighthawks
alive in the game) now is probably your BEST time to concede. Congratulations
guys not only for today's events but to all invasions I never mention or didn't
have time to report. My apologies for the times. Great work guys congratulations
to a great game.
January 7, 2001 - Nighthawks
made a full scale invasion on Prestone and forced
him to relocate his base. It cost 7 IDC
to invade and 5 planets
switched hands and 3 planets
got destroyed by Prestone
(the owner) according to the logs.
2 of the stolen planets was shielded Organics, 1 planet was a level 4 H with
quasars turned off (how nice..) and the remaining 2 planets was shields Ls.
The destroyed planets was 3 shielded H that Nighthawks had drained (if I can't
have them nobody can). There is 48 planets in the universe with citadels.
There are some serious cash in this game fig count is at same level today
after the invasion as it was before the invasion yesterday.
Prestone was online during entire invasion and big part of it it wasn't just
an BOT online but he was actually there trying to salvage as much as possible
and try to put sticks in Nighthawks well oiled invasion engine.
Excellent done Nighthawkers!
January 6, 2001 - Been a while since I did updates last. I did the 20th but never did any news. Game is still going strong but with lot less players 12 players left from 4 teams. Nighthawks and Frogland is both going strong. Prestone playing for Frogland eliminated Moe from team FEN so that leaves only Talon Karrde from team FEN. Prestone also got Olivaw and it seems that he now have given up. Animal got his first pod. He ran into mines and got his first blow up. Prestone is now up to 25 deaths but still not slowing down. Team Nighthawks is only team still with a full team.
December 14, 2000 - Never got around to do the death list last Sunday here. But got it done today. There been some action lately. Team FEN got invaded and killed and haven't been able to get a back in a foothold in the game yet. Team Frogland is still wreaking havoc in the game. Prestone now got 18 deaths and and staying away from that dreaded #SD# that would put him out of the game. Team Night Hawk was the team that #SD# both team FEN players that is left. Animal still stays at 0 deaths. But to be honest it isn't hard if you stay fedsafe and get your happy butt online slightly before extern so you don't get towed and then logoff after extern has run. Only 15 players are left out of the 87 players that showed up. As said before team Night Hawk is the only team with all 6 players still left in the team.
December 3, 2000 - A slow week. Not much to report. A few more players dropped out due to time out. Team HomeSector is now entirely gone. 7 out of 15 teams still has at least one player left in the game. Only Night Hawks still has a full team. Glad to see that the home team (Team FEN) still is in the game not that they have a lot to show of that they done lot of killings or invading.
November 26, 2000 - Ok. I forgot to do news last weekend. Been two interesting weeks with a lot of death and destruction. Mainly done by team Frogland. Super Dank Frog been living on borrowed timed for a while now with 14 blow ups. Sucks to be him if he becomes #SD#. Team United Federations of Planets has thrown in the towel last invasion by team Frogland on them was more then they could take. Bad Girl is only one left out of what a lot of people though would be the winning team, team Home Sector. But that is just a matter of time #SD# or time-out. Looks like BooInc! gotten more then they bargained for but most of it was NOT from team Night Hawks but rather from team Frogland. Consider that they basically live on overtime and with only 2 players they been very aggressive ( a clarification Michigan J Frog has been there and helped Super Dank Frog but it haven't showed in the logs and it was in a coop they got Tweety that I reported the 12th).
November 12, 2000 - Things are staying interesting.
Tonight Cruncher and Maverick
from team Home Sector timed out so did Arcyane
playing for the Deep South. Boo
Inc!'s respond to Night
hawks demand for submission
was
Tweety posted this universal announcement:
Bring it on!
To which NightHawks responded
Nazwes Chaiwind posted this universal announcement:
Ok, I guess we have to kill you first then.
Nazwes Chaiwind posted this universal announcement:
Submission demand is on hold until corp 2 gets whacked.
Day after Boo Inc! stole and destroyed some
of team Froglands resources. A few days later
Prestone responded by stealing back a level 5+
planet from Boo Inc!. The 10th Tweety
went after Prestone again and ended up loosing
his ship to a Quasar and then Prestone finished
of the pod. Day after Prestone
cleaned out an area which I think belonged to Boo Inc!
And last but not least today Nazwes Chaiwind
killed Soylent Green and put him up to 7 deaths.
Did Boo Inc! take on more then they could handle
declaring war with both Prestone from Froglands
and Nazwes Chaiwind from NightHawks
? Only time will show.
November 5, 2000 - Another interesting week. Moe playing for team FEN eliminated Old Timer from team United Federation of Planets and added 2 more blow ups to Kavanagh 7. Prestone felt the wrath of a planets QC and lost 2 Interdictor Cruisers and putting himself at death limit. Getting #SD# now and he's eliminated. Finally but not last is Nazwes Chaiwind's demand that everyone's submission to team Nighthawks and declare them winners.
Nazwes Chaiwind posted
this universal announcement:
This game will only end one way: A victory for Mission:
Night Hawk. On those grounds, I demand submission. Anyone who refuses to submit
has one week to
Nazwes Chaiwind posted
this universal announcement:
speak out against this demand. Anyone who speaks out
against this demand better be prepared for the consequences.
The ante is upped big time.. What will happen ?
October 29, 2000 - Been a lot of auction lately. Yesterdays log is around 700k big after The Nighthawks invaded Home Sector and killed Cruncher and Maverick and raided their level 6 citadel for a decent chunk of cash. Congratulations to Nazwes Chaiwind and Cyber Hawk. And on top of this Prestone (playing for Frogland BBS) whacked and eliminated Moldar and Stonewall from The Deep South and stole their saved up money which apparently was a BIG chunk of cash. Congrats to Prestone (Super Dank Frog) for an excellent invasion. It will be interesting to see what these extra cash these two teams got will lead to. More auction or are we going to put it into the piggy bank and earn interest ?
October 22, 2000 - More action.. Team Home
Sector got waxed by Team Nighthawk the
night to 21st. Total cost 1 life and 1 ship for Team Nighthawks
and 6 lives, 3 planets and a few ships for Team Home Sector. Guardian
is now dangerous close to the elimination limit #SD#
once more and he's out. Congratulations to Naz
and Nighthawks to en excellent offensive move.
Other happenings was that last player in team Intergate
finally timed out. This means that another entire
team has timed out bringing the count up to 5 teams that has give up the game
way before they where done.
Not to forget.. Earlier this week even-fire eliminated
xcheck from the game. Great work! Congratulations
even-fire!!!
October 20, 2000 - NEWS FLASH : The Ghost with the most pods has gone down one time to many. Space Ghost was eliminated earlier today by Super Dank Frog(Prestone) after an successful invasion by Super Dank Frog and Zep which only cost them 1 death to take a level 5+ planet. Great work guys congratulations.. Now The Ghost with the most can have a relaxing time in Las Vegas! Drink one for me buddy!!
October 8, 2000 - After a couple of interesting
weeks in BOTE we have now fallen into insomnia. No one is doing anything some
barely doing their days turn share. Only real exciting that happen entire
week was that Stonewall crashed into NavHaz with
an MF and put himself up to 9 deaths. No one
has timed out yet but there are a few prospects that could get there pretty
soon and a lot of the players are only entering game to keep themselves from
timing out (last day one: Today,
Turns Left: 500).
Where is the invasions and hunting ?? Some players keep telling me that they
haven't started their destruction yet.. My question is will you guys EVER
do that ? I'm sure you know who you are.....
You can see the CLV stats for 10.08 8:30PM
on the stats page I will update this list
weekly as I done with the death list.
October 1, 2000 - Another interesting week. Team Home Sector went on offensive and hit hard on team United Federation of Planets. Some things happen and a lot of lives was lost on both sides check out the death list. On reentry United Federation of Planets was once again given hard time by players in team Home Sector. Took considerable time before everyone on both sides was back in the game.
September 24, 2000 - Been an interesting week. Lot of things have happens. Just check out the logs and the new updated death list. But there has been a lot of simple mistakes done. At least 4 atomic fusion's, 1 encounter with deployed figs (in a MF), at least 1 colt crashed into Nav Haz. Limpet brought home to the home base. Well to get the scope of it all read the logs since it's to much to go into detail here =).
September 21, 2000 - A VERY interesting day in BOTE. Team Home Sector with Guardian in lead invaded United Federations of Planets and captured 2 level 5+ planets and found Casper (so long 0 deaths), J.T. Kirk and Golum on one of the planets. This happen between midnight and 1 AM. Later around 8 PM team The Night Hawks with Nazwes Chaiwind in charge invaded one of team Home Sectors planet and found Bad Bad Man, Retaliator, Guardian and Bad Girl sleeping on that planet. They all went boom boom. This puts Bad Bad Man VERY close to the elimination limit. A day filled with lots of action and bold moves costing an massive amount of figs.
September 17, 2000 - Blow up list is update as of 10PM today. Not a single player timed out due to inactivity this week. Nice. Everyone is on defense (could that have something with that fig prices is on peak ??). Only 4 blown ups total this week Bad Bad Man. Guardian, Old Timer, Super Dank Frog each took one.
September 10, 2000 - THE LIST is updated as of 9PM today. Glad to see that we didn't have that many players timing out this week. Boo Inc with Space Ghost in lead invaded and captured a planet from team FEN. Auntie B and Pixie was parked on this planet and lost their last life. Super Dank Frog invaded team Kla'Mar and this eliminated Xanos. Every team except team Intergate (with only one player left) and team Night Hawk (still full team) lost at least on life this week.
September 3, 2000 - Blow up list is updated as of 9PM today. Sad to see another one of the home teams players eliminated from the game. This week Guardian got back online after his move and with him the action and death toll got higher this week compared to last week. All players in team Sharks and team Ice Force has now timed out. Team Gods Army now only have one player left until they also joins the Timed Out teams. A total of 13 deaths/pods has been recorded this week. A medal of honor goes out to Guardian for his announcement in the log after he eliminated Severian from the game "Well nice playing with you severian .... I believe that was your last death". I also have to give him another medal for his coolness and quick moves killing Space Ghost who tried to sneak up on Guardian and photon him while Guardian invaded a planet. With coolness and quick reaction he didn't just avoid getting photoned by also #SD# Space Ghost (who had leant Guardian a modem that same day after Guardians modem had fried, which I will have to give Space Ghost a medal of honor and sportsmanship for doing)
August 27, 2000 - Blow up list is updated as of 9PM today. 3 More players have timed out. 1 player eliminated himself by getting murdered at SD. Numbers of kills is very low this week. Only a singled player got #SD# , a couple ended up in pods. I hope this is just a temporary thing. If things don't pickup in speed any team can be a winner just by showing that you can stay alive.
August 20, 2000 - Blow up list is updated as of 5PM today. All members of team Dragon Elite and team Digital Playground has now timed out due to inactivity. Team Ice Force and Team Prime Time Players is getting close to suffer the same fate as these other two. Only 4 out of the 15 teams is still in full force. Only 4 people has been eliminated due to death limit and 30 players have timed out due to interactivity pretty sad isn't it that people just give up that easily ? They might not be able to win the game but they sure can have an affect of the outcome of it.
August 13, 2000 - Once again the blow
up list is updated. More players have timed out from the game. Only 1
more player has actually been eliminated from
the game. Close to 30 people have timed
out and only a total of 2 have been
eliminated due to deaths. This tells me that a LOT of players give
up way before their time has come. A shame. They
might not be able to win the tournament but they sure can have an effect on
the outcome if they didn't stop playing that is. Nazwes
Chaiwind was hard on team God's Army tonight.
He killed everyone in the team and stole
a level 5 planet (at least) from them. See
the daily log with the invasion. Digital Playground
and Dragons Elite only have 1 single player the
rest of them have timed out due to 14 days inactivity. From the looks of it
Prime Time players and
Ice Force will soon be joining these two teams unless someone decides
to bring out the whip and get their team players to start playing.
With team Night Hawks owning a
level 5 planet and Home sector having
Eleqtriz'T on honey moon and Guardian
moving the tournament has once again become very open.
August 9, 2000 - Seems like a lot of people rather quit playing then take the risk of getting eliminating from them game ? Since last check another 7 people have dropped out due to inactivity and NOT a single player has been eliminated due to death since Shakespeare was eliminated.
August 7, 2000 - Blow up list is updated. 11 players dropped due to time-out night to Sunday after the deletion due to inactivity was changed from 30 to 14 days.
August 1, 2000 - Change of the inactivation deletion setting!!?? By mistake the inactivity deletion setting was set defaulted to 30 days which I forgot to check/set to the intended 14 days. If your playing in the game and find it outrageous that this setting is changed in the middle of a game e-mail macahan@fament.com with your complaint. Unless I get a lot of complaints this setting will change on Saturday 5th of August.
July 31, 2000 - Blow up list is updated. We have our first 10 on the list now. He's still in the game but in a pod. Tonight The Night Hawks setup to run Amtrak but failed to get online and run the clean up before Bad Bad People got online and could take advantage and kill some people in The Night Hawks team.
July 28, 2000 - Between 12:43:15AM
to 4:52:30AM CDT our outgoing/ingoing
Internet line was down. We have contacted
SBIS regarding this matter and hope to have an answer why it was down before
the end of the day.
Last night extern didn't ran as it was supposed to. After exchanging multiple
e-mail's with JP and an export of the game data we couldn't find anything
that could tell us why extern didn't run as supposed to. The only good out
of it is that we found another minor bug that seems to happen when people
get dropped from the TWGS system and they try to relog their mail box has
a lock file on it.
July 22, 2000 - Bad Bad
People has struck again. They took out 4 out of 6 players from
team Rebel Alliance. 2
players from Rebel Alliance was online
when the invasion started only 1
of them survived (even though he didn't know
it until everything was done with).
Congrats to Bad Bad Man
and Retaliator for an excellent
performed invasion.
I have put up a list of total numbers of blow ups for everyone. Check the
logs page for the blow up statistics as of 7-22.
Very interesting reading. I must congratulate
team Sharks for doing a great job by only getting
3 blow ups TOTALLY so far. Also sad to see that team FEN
has so many blow ups. But I wouldn't count anyone in or out yet. The game
is last man standing. A LOT of things can still happen.
July 16, 2000 - Was a little time ago I did any updates. But finally gotten around to it. Another Space Ghost poem is online this one was inspired after team Bad Bad people (The Home Sector) ran an Amtrak a few days ago. In which they made 15 kills. Way to go! By the look of it in the CLV Bad Bad people's reds are making about 3-4 times the amount of cash any other team is doing. Will anyone be able to oppose Bad Bad people?
July 9, 2000 - Well final count for the first 12 hours. Boo Inc! took a death grip on SD. Total count shows 13 Escape Pod's and 9 #SD#. 5 pods was NOT made by Boo Inc! but everything else was done by them or caused by them, 2 of the #SD# was due to CBY. I must congratulate Space Ghost he did beat the odds he had against him. He did it by showing how good he can get their team to create a SD blockade. Once again I'm impressed but don't let it get to your head you just made yourself everyone's #1 enemy.
July 8, 2000 - Game is open. As of right now most people have logged on to the game. Space Ghost has been very successful in his blockade of SD and he is still alive 7 hours after the game started. There is currently 6 #SD# and 10 Escape Pod's in the CLV list.
July 5, 2000 - A few days ago I heard rumors that notorious is withdrawing their team. Today I got word from the CEO that the team is withdrawn.
June 30, 2000 - BOTE start date moved up after consolidation with the registered teams CEO's. New start date is Noon Central on July 8th sorry for the inconvenience.
June 28, 2000 - The teams has gotten a little updated. If your on a team make sure you logon to BBS.FAMENT.COM and create your account ASAP!! The game opens Saturday 1st of July 6pm Central Time!!
June 25, 2000 - Home sectors team registered late late last night. Check out their interesting team composition.
Later June 24, 2000 - Received 6 more teams since this morning. Still missing some teams that I expected would play in BOTE 2000.
June 24, 2000 - Two more teams registered so far today that makes # of registered teams 9. Before the day is over I'm sure plenty more teams have registered.
June 22, 2000 - The man has done it again! Written another of his famous Poems and this one is about BOTE. The man I'm talking about is of course the man that love pods (you would think at least) Space Ghost! Read his BOTE Poem!
June 22, 2000 - The total count of teams is now up to 7 so far. Check out who has registered!
June 20, 2000 - THREE more teams has registered. Check out which teams that have registered so far.
June 11, 2000 - Invitations are now sent out. Three teams have registered so far. Check out who you could play against on the team list if you register your team.
May 24, 2000 - The first BOTEs pages have been found. They are posted here for safekeeping. Check the logs and see how much team FEN ruled that one!!!
May 12, 2000 - BOTE 2000 message forum is now online.
May 9, 2000 - Game-Ops will be Monday and Hosem they will set all the settings. As soon they announce their planed settings they will be posted here. As announced earlier SWATH is sponsoring the BOTE. Today I can make public that ATTAC AND EISOnline is also sponsoring the BOTE 2000.
May 4, 2000 - The site is up and running! The game will be held at bbs.fament.com and we are looking on a start date of 1st of July.
